How evARTbyR got started

Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?

I started my Etsy shop by selling paintings that I created myself. However, since each painting took a lot of time to complete, I decided to shift my focus due to time constraints. I transitioned to creating and selling t-shirt designs, SVGs, and PNGs. This allows me to express my creativity while offering more accessible products for a broader audience. Designing digital products has become a passion, as it enables me to explore my artistic side while providing items that are easier to produce and manage.

Favorite items

What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?

Currently, my favorite items are designs with sarcastic and funny messages. I love the idea that a simple t-shirt with a witty or uplifting message can brighten someone's day or reflect their mood. Wearing such a design can even make others smile, like when you're walking down the street. These items aren't my top sellers yet, but they remain my favorites because of their potential to spread positivity and humor. Here's an example of a design I personally love: Remember That Time We Came to Work and Actually Worked?.

Getting sales on Etsy

How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?

It didn’t take long to get my first sale—it happened a few weeks after listing my initial products. My first sale was a painting. However, orders were sporadic until I began listing t-shirt designs, which cater to a broader market. Currently, I focus on optimizing my listings, creating unique and attractive designs, and promoting them through Etsy Ads and Google. I also experiment with organic reach by refining my tags, titles, and descriptions to increase visibility.

Managing evARTbyR

How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?
I manage my shop entirely on my own. I use tools like Alura for optimization and analytics, which help me improve my listings and monitor performance. For physical items like paintings, I handle the shipping and fulfillment myself. For digital products, the process is automated, requiring less direct involvement from me. This setup allows me to focus on creativity and customer satisfaction.

The future of evARTbyR

What goals do you have for your shop in the future?
I aim to grow my shop significantly by expanding my product range to over 3,000 digital products. Additionally, I’m working on increasing my sales and reaching more customers worldwide. My long-term goal is to make my shop a reliable source of income while continuing to create designs that inspire and delight people.
