How FlosCaeli got started

Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?

Hi, my name is Tsvetelina, and I’m the shop owner of Flos Caeli. My Etsy shop was the logical extension of my education; I finished my bachelor's at the National Art Academy with a fashion major. My inspiration for the designs comes mostly from fun patterns sewn into classical and practical clothing for your everyday life.

Favorite items

What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?

My favourites are the lemon pattern skirts and pyjama sets; they were also the best-selling ones once.

WOMEN RETRO DRESS - Retro Lemon Dress - Vintage Style Dress - Cotton Retro Dress - Retro Vintage Dress - Women Party Dress
Lemon tulle tutu skirt - Women elasticated one size tulle skirt - Bow belt tulle skirt
Ladies Lemon Pajama Set, Cotton Sleepwear, Italian Resort Wear, Elasticated shorts and tank top, Yellow and White Outfit

Getting sales on Etsy

How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?

It took me 1 month from starting my Etsy shop to the first sale. I actually could not believe it; it had an amazing feel. Now I have more consistent sales, and the number one thing that helps with attracting buyers is listing new items regularly.

Managing FlosCaeli

How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?

For now, it’s only me. I sew the clothing in my atelier, pack it, ship it, and maintain the shop. I’ve used the Sale Samurai app a few times and the Etsy Seller app for my phone for more convenience; nothing fancy.

The future of FlosCaeli

What goals do you have for your shop in the future?

I hope to expand my storage and be ready to ship items, as well as add a lot more new items.

Advice for new sellers

What’s your advice for a new seller starting an Etsy shop?

My advice is to not get bored or frustrated because it takes a lot of time; sometimes it can be 1-2 years till your shop picks up on sales, and in the meantime, you have to work every single day on it.
