How MontroseCrystal got started

Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?

We are Montrose Crystal, a very friendly Derby-based glass engraving company with over 25 years of experience. We have a fantastic reputation and very loyal customers; if only we could put their testimonies on here!

We believe that in quality, product range, and customer service we are second to none, and we look forward to the opportunity of demonstrating this to you. In 2017, we decided to try our products on the Etsy platform. As we already had a very extensive range, this was quite easy to transfer onto the Etsy platform.

Favorite items

What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?

Our favorite products are our LED lamps and crystal vases; they look totally amazing, and the feedback for these items is always excellent.

Getting sales on Etsy

How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?

It took a few weeks to get the ball rolling with Etsy sales, but we find the Etsy marketing tool to work very well.

Managing MontroseCrystal

How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?

I am the main person running the shop, and we use Zenstores to integrate all of our postal needs.

What goals do you have for your shop in the future?

We hope to grow the business, find new products, increase sales, and improve marketing.

Advice for new sellers

What’s your advice for a new seller starting an Etsy shop?

Keep at it... I find Etsy to be by far the easiest and fairest online platform to sell your items.
