How Natiscrossstitch got started
Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?
My name is Natalya. I live in a small European city near the Baltic Sea—Riga, Latvia. Let your life speak! The world speaks to us in different languages. We will each answer on our own. My language is the language of embroidery. I love loneliness, detective stories, and dancing. There is harmony, rhythm, clarity, and a certain order in all of the above. Therefore, I love to embroider and create cross-stitch patterns.
I specialize in creating small and beautiful cross-stitch patterns that are both fun to create and display. My passion for cross-stitching began many years ago when I saw in the local shop a cross-stitch kit with butterflies. Since then, I have been creating my own designs and sharing them with others. Each of my patterns is carefully crafted with attention to detail, and I am always exploring new ideas to add to my collection. All the patterns I stitched myself. I often change thread colors or fabric colors during the process, and I can stitch one of my patterns several times to change some details, and customers receive the best results from my creative work.
While embroidering, we speak with ourselves, with our souls—we are in harmony with the world. I want as many people as possible to speak to the world in my cross-stitching language and find inspiration and peace. I want to create new patterns, conduct tutorials, and share experiences. I would like to open the wings of inspiration and teach others to fly, be inspired, and create! Let’s start a conversation in my language!

Getting sales on Etsy
How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?
My first sale happened quickly enough, but the second sale took a lot longer. I started to attract customers through various methods, such as increasing the range of products in the store and offering discounts or promotions. Then I opened my Instagram page @natiscrossstitch, posting high-quality photos of my cross-stitch projects and short stories. Using relevant hashtags to make my photo discoverable
