Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?

About me. Hello, Let's get to know each other. My name is Halinka. I am from Ukraine, from the beautiful city of Chernivtsi. I have always been a creative person, and I really liked to create beautiful things with my own hands. But life was turning, and I didn't have time for it. But when I got injured, my life turned upside down (now I'm in a wheelchair), and then I decided to return to my favorite business. I started embroidering with beads. I sold my work at local markets in Ukraine, and I started to succeed. At first, I tried to sell my products all over the world, and then I created my own shop on the global marketplace Etsy.

To make your look perfect, I will create beautiful veils and wedding accessories. I put my heart into them and tried to listen to all the wishes of the bride. I choose only high-quality materials; I work with English tulle and Japanese beads, rhinestones, and stones. Handmade embroidery with beads, pearls, and crystals I use Turkish and Spanish lace. I will answer all questions about the color of the veil with a return so that you remain satisfied. Several girls help me in my work; this is my wonderful team. I also do individual embroidery on an embroidery and sewing machine. I love to give people joy, and the highest reward for me is when you are happy to see your most beautiful veil. My small business is my hobby that brings me profit and happiness.

What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?

My favorite items are the personalized veils in my shop. They carry the individuality of each bride. And for the rest of your life, your favorite phrases, dates, and memories of your loved ones will be engraved.

Getting sales on Etsy

How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?

It took 2 weeks, maybe a little more, for the first sale on Etsy to happen. I don't remember exactly; I didn't even believe it at first, but it happened. To promote my products, I maintain an Instagram page and a Facebook page, do a little advertising on Etsy, and always monitor tags to attract organic traffic. But when you're a stellar seller and have great reviews, selling on Etsy is easy. But I created such a reputation myself through hard work. And at the home of the wonderful Etsy platform.

Managing WeddingveilByGalinka 

How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?

I have a manager who sometimes pushes me to do SEO. I involve Google Analytics, and then everything is intuitive. Sometimes a friend helps me with the production of orders, for which I am very grateful to her. I send parcels by different delivery methods, depending on the customer's deadline.

The future of WeddingveilByGalinka 

What goals do you have for your shop in the future?

The goals are ambitious; I want 10,000 sales and many 5-star reviews. I want all my clients to be satisfied, and I will try to do everything to achieve this.

Advice for new sellers

What’s your advice for a new seller starting an Etsy shop?

Do not be afraid of anything; go to the goal; search the Internet for information about sales on Etsy; study it. Learning English, if you are not a native speaker, improves communication with the buyer. If I, a woman with a disability, can do it, you can too. The main thing is to have perseverance.
