How YunBoutique got started
Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?
I started my business in 2013. This is a 5-minute documentary about how I started the jewellery business with answers to all those questions: How did you begin selling on Etsy, decide what to sell, and how do you create or source your products? The pieces I sell on Etsy are mainly design samples for products on my official website. So Etsy buyers can enjoy premium design and fashion at an affordable price.
Favorite items
What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?
One of them is Serene Lotus. Here is a documentary about it too. Now we are having a limited-time 50% off promotion so people can enjoy this iconic Yun Boutique design at a very good price.

Getting sales on Etsy
How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?
It took one week for me to earn the first sale. It was a very lovely and simple pair of beaded earrings that I handmade. I attract sales by searching on Etsy. Because some of my pieces appear in the top results on Etsy searches, especially for Chinese jewellery-related key words.
Managing YunBoutique
How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?
I manage my shop all by myself, except shipping. I use Shopify to make my official website. I use Marmalead to optimise Etsy SEO. I use Canva for banner design. And I use Moo and Vistaprint for my promotional materials. I ask my staff in the USA to ship orders for me.
The future of YunBoutique
What goals do you have for your shop in the future?
I hope to promote divine Chinese culture through my jewellery design and inspire more audiences and artisans. Because it is a beautiful culture and heritage that is worth preserving. I believe everyone of us has an inner kingdom that waits to be revived, and I hope everyone who wears Yun Boutique jewellery can be inspired and revive their inner kingdom.

What’s your advice for a new seller starting an Etsy shop?
Believe in yourself and devote yourself to what you love without hesitation or looking back.
