How ZwergnaseDE got started
Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?
My name is Sarah and I run the online shop ZwergnaseDE on Etsy. Zwergnase sews bloomers, scarves, and hats for babies and children. All items in the shop are lovingly handcrafted by me personally. Each item is a handmade unique item from Germany. When my child was 2 years old, I was looking for a way to better combine family and work, so I quit my job and founded Zwergnase. I like to try out the cuts on my own child beforehand.
The bloomers have a stylish and comfortable cut and offer great freedom of movement for babies and toddlers. In addition, the panties have elastic cuffs on the stomach and legs, which means that they grow with the child. Initially, the cuffs of the trousers can be rolled up and later knocked out again as the child grows. So the great growing pants can be worn for a while. All bloomers are made of cotton jerseys, which makes them very soft and skin-friendly.

My favorite items in the shop are the bloomers because they are super stylish, practical, and comfortable for babies.
Getting sales on Etsy
How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?
My first sale took 2 weeks after opening the shop. Customers are currently being lured into the shop with the following campaigns.

Thank You Coupon. This offer is automatically sent to your customers after their order has shipped to thank them for their purchase
Abandoned Cart Coupon. This offer is automatically sent to eligible buyers if they add your item to their cart but don't checkout
Managing ZwergnaseDE
How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?
I manage my shop alone. Shipping is by post. (DHL)
I use a sewing machine to sew the products. I create the product photos with the help of a camera.
The future of ZwergnaseDE
What goals do you have for your shop in the future?
In the future, I would like to attract even more customers to my shop so that many more babies and children can enjoy the trousers, towels, and hats.

What’s your advice for a new seller starting an Etsy shop?
My advice to new sellers is: to make time for the customer and provide a buying experience that the customer will remember.
