How WildHerbStudioz got started
Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?
I’m Chaitanya Sharma, owner of WildHerbStudioz on Etsy. Although I have been working in tech, I've always been drawn to creative work. I started WildHerbStudioz in 2022 as a way to express my passion for nature, mystical themes, and vintage aesthetics.
I initially started with t-shirts, but competition was tough, and margins were low. Then I moved to phone cases, which I enjoyed designing, but I didn’t feel they truly represented my vision for the shop. Eventually, I transitioned to wall art, and that’s when things really started to click.
My friend Alok recently joined me in this journey, helping add hand-drawn elements to our designs, making them even more unique. All of my products are inspired from nature, spirituality, mystical and gothic aesthetics. My products are fulfilled through print-on-demand partners based in the U.S., which ensures high-quality printing and fast shipping.
In addition to offering physical wall art in different styles—canvas prints, framed posters, wood prints, and premium matte paper prints—I also provide a digital download option for most designs. This allows me to cater to an even broader audience, including international buyers who prefer an instant, printable version of the artwork.
I’ve also started experimenting with product bundles for specific niches, like crystal lovers, by offering matching items such as hoodies, phone cases, scented candles, and mugs.
Favorite items
What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?
Here are some of my absolute favorites:

A quirky, humorous take on vintage wall art. People love it for bathroom decor, and I think the unexpectedness of the design makes it a conversation starter.

I love this piece because it blends a rustic, moody aesthetic with the beauty of nature. It’s timeless, elegant, and resonates with nature lovers and dark academia fans alike.

This collection is designed for crystal and energy healing lovers, featuring a matching sweatshirt, phone case, mug, and scented candle. Labradorite is known for its spiritual protection and transformation properties, and I love how this bundle allows people to carry that energy across multiple products. It has been popular among crystal lovers because it provides a themed aesthetic across different items, making it great for gifts or self-care.
Getting sales on Etsy
How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?
It took 25 days to get my first sale. It was slow at first, but once I refined my listings and found my audience, things started picking up.
I don’t actively market my shop, but I rely on:
Etsy Organic Search – Optimizing my listings with strategic keywords and high-quality images.
Pinterest – Occasionally sharing my designs to reach more buyers.
Customer Reviews – Many new buyers trust my shop because of positive feedback and repeat customers.
I’ve also worked with multiple customers on custom, personalized designs, which has been a great experience. Seeing customers surprised and happy with their one-of-a-kind artwork makes the process even more rewarding.
For example, one customer wrote:

These interactions keep me motivated to continue creating.
Managing WildHerbStudioz
How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?
I manage everything myself, but Alok helps with the design process. I use a few key tools to streamline my workflow:
Adobe Photoshop & Canva – For creating and refining artwork.
Alura – For Etsy keyword research and trend analysis.
ChatGPT - For research, design ideas and customer service.
Email Marketing – I offer discounts to subscribers to encourage repeat purchases.
Print-on-Demand Partners – Handle shipping and fulfillment directly from the U.S.
I originally shipped worldwide, but I decided to only sell physical products in the U.S. to simplify logistics and shipping times. However, my digital download prints allow international buyers to still access my work.
The future of WildHerbStudioz
What goals do you have for your shop in the future?
Expand My Product Line – Add more vintage, gothic, and nature-inspired wall art pieces.
Offer More Personalization – Give customers the option to add names, dates, or special messages to their artwork.
Continue Exploring Bundles – Develop more niche-themed sets like the crystal lover’s collection, so buyers can find matching products in a single purchase.
Advice for new sellers
What’s your advice for a new seller starting an Etsy shop?
Find Your Niche – Don’t try to sell everything. Focus on a specific aesthetic or theme that makes your shop unique.
Optimize for Etsy Search – Use keywords and professional images to help your listings rank.
Be Patient – My first sale took 25 days. Etsy success is a marathon, not a sprint.
Experiment & Adapt – Your first product idea might not be the best one. Keep testing until you find what sells best.
Offer Digital Variants – If possible, consider offering digital downloads to cater to international buyers and those who prefer instant access.
Success on Etsy isn’t about overnight wins—it’s about consistency, creativity, and continuous learning. Stay patient, refine your craft, and listen to your customers. Every sale is a step forward, and every challenge is a lesson. Keep creating, keep evolving, and most importantly, enjoy the process!
